£19.19 (Inc. VAT & Duties bot. 75 cl.) / United Kingdom

Dönnhoff Riesling Trocken is a most authentic and distinctive expression of the Nahe wine region in Germany. Produced by the renowned Weingut Dönnhoff, this wine is made from Riesling grapes grown on the steep slopes of the middle Nahe. The vines, which are between 15 and 30 years old, are rooted in rocky and volcanic soils, particularly in Porphyr and Melaphyr formations, with inclusions of schist and quartzite. These unique soils, together with the climate of the region, contribute to the distinctive character of the wine.

The winemaking of Dönnhoff Riesling Trocken involves selective hand harvesting, ensuring that only the best quality grapes are used in production. The wine is then fermented and matured in stainless steel tanks and large oak barrels, giving it additional structure and complexity.

Dönnhoff Riesling Trocken is a wine that stands out for its typicity. It is a dry Riesling very characteristic of the winery. On the palate, it is refreshing and concise, with an underlying elegance and a stimulating minerality. Despite its low alcohol content, the wine has a fine, crisp acidity that makes it ideal for everyday drinking. Notes of tangerine and peach, along with its dry, firm finish, make this wine a memorable tasting experience.
