Bourgeois-Diaz BD'N Blanc de Noirs

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Composed of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Pinot Meunier from four primarily south-facing parcels, Bourgeois-Diaz's NV BD’N Blanc de Noirs is vinified in nearly equal parts concrete and oak casks. Entirely from the 2022 vintage and disgorged in January 2025, this bottling is flamboyant and demonstrative, bursting with notes of candied orange peel, crisp peach, pear and red cherry. Full-bodied, fleshy and vinous, it presents a more ample and muscular profile compared to the other cuvées in the range. A generous core of fruit is underpinned by succulent yet lively acidity, concluding with a long, enveloping finish with a phenolic presence. Though released without dosage and devoid of residual sugar, the wine remains remarkably generous and accessible, eschewing any austerity. It promises to evolve nicely over the next few years, as its mineral dimension gradually emerges from beneath its currently fruit-forward façade.
