The red 2022 Artigas comes from the lieu-dit of the same name in their village and is made with 60% Garnacha, 30% Cariñena and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. It fermented in concrete with one-third full clusters (the Cabernet fully destemmed) and matured separately in barrels for 16 months, then it was blended and put in concrete for four more months before it was bottled. It's ripe and heady at 15.5% alcohol, a pH of 3.4 and a balanced mouthfeel. The wine doesn't show heat, alcohol or any excess ripeness. It's juicy and has fine tannins, clean flavors and a dry finish. 30,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2024.
