This vintage stands out for its production from the best Tempranillo grapes (sometimes accompanied by a touch of Graciano), grown in carefully selected vineyards in Laguardia and Elciego. The soils of these vineyards, characterised by their clay-limestone composition, provide a perfect base for a wine that fuses body and freshness.
Winemaking
The winemaking process begins with a rigorous harvest to ensure that only the best bunches are harvested. The grapes undergo alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks, a method that ensures the purity of the fruit flavours. The 17-month ageing in American oak barrels gives Arienzo Crianza that distinctive touch of coconut and vanilla notes.
