The white 2019 Viña Real Barrel Fermented is also sold in some markets as Viña Real Fermentado en Barrica. The must of the Viura grapes was put to ferment in Hungarian barrels of different sizes and ages, where the wine was kept with lees that were periodically stirred for its upbringing of five months. It has very integrated oak and a citrus freshness remarkable for a year like 2019. It's faintly balsamic, not very aromatic, a bit shy and with a serious palate. 90,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in April 2020.



Viña Real Blanco Fermentado en Barrica is an exclusive white wine created in the Rioja Alavesa area (D.O. Ca. Rioja). It has been elaborated by the CVNE group, which is integrated by the wineries Cune, Contino and Viña Real.
This wine is produced from the native Viura grape variety and is especially recommended to accompany white meats, fish, pasta and rice dishes.

This is a young white wine aged 6 months in French oak barrels from vineyards with poor clay-limestone soils and an Atlantic climate with Mediterranean influence.

These grapes are harvested by hand at the moment when they reach their optimum ripeness.
Once they are in the winery, they are cold macerated for 6 to 8 hours to achieve a greater aromatic extraction in the final wine. The grapes are destemmed and gently pressed in the winery and the must is transferred to new American oak barrels where it undergoes fermentation for 15 to 20 days at a temperature of 16 to 20 °C (61 to 68 °F). Before bottling, the wine is filtered and clarified.
