Description
Petit Caus Tinto is a modern interpretation of a young Mediterranean red wine that serves as a gateway to the world of Can Rafols dels Caus. This wine is characterised by being fresh, light and casual.
Winemaking
It is made from a blend of varieties including Garnacha, Tempranillo, Merlot and Pinot Noir. It is made by spontaneous fermentation of the varieties separately, at a controlled temperature for 30 days in stainless steel tanks.
Taste
Petit Caus Tinto has a pale violet colour and offers a lively expression of crisp red fruits. On tasting, flavours of tart cherry, plums and slightly spicy notes stand out, making it tasty and refreshing. Some describe it as a pleasant, well-made young wine, but with a particularity that places it somewhere between a rosé and a red. Its persistence is short, but it is a light and pleasant wine that is easy to enjoy.
