Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2021 Acusp is closed, younger and more austere than the 2020 that I tasted next to it. The wine had a very slow malolactic fermentation in barrel that lasted some 11 months, and the wine matured in oak foudres for a further 12 months; but the effect of the wood is unnoticeable in the aromatics and flavors. It has an ethereal quality and something mysterious, blood orange-like, perfumed, subtle and insinuating, really fine-boned and elegant. The tannins are very elegant and fine-grained. 11,800 bottles and 150 magnums produced. It was bottled in March 2024.
