Nit de Nin Mas d'en Caçador is a red wine produced by the Familia Nin-Ortiz winery in the Priorat DO.
Nit de Nin Mas d'en Caçador is a blend of red Grenache and Carignan. The grapes come from 90 year old vines cultivated following biodynamic organic farming methods. The vineyards are planted on llicorella soils with steep slopes.
Winemaking
The production of Nit de Nin Mas d'en Caçador begins with a strong maceration of the grapes for a month, after destemming prior to fermentation. Then, the must is fermented with natural yeasts at a controlled temperature. This red wine is aged for one year and two months in French oak barrels.
Taste
Nit de Nin Mas d'en Caçador is a red wine that stands out for its fruity, floral aromas and herbal notes. On the palate it is structured, with character and elegance, full and mineral, and with a freshness that makes it very long.
This wine is a Priorat treasure.
The grapes used to make this wine come from vineyards where the concept of organic farming and biodynamic methods are applied and the wine conveys this purity and care.
In other words, the use of products that may damage the soil and the plants is avoided, always showing great emphasis on respect for nature and for the expression of the terroir.
