The 2020 Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Ile de Vergelesses Blanc wafts from the glass with scents of pear, confit citrus, bread dough and anise. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and tensile, with a tangy spine of acidity and a long, saline finish, it's very promising.
