Description
Morgon Cuvée Corcelette is a red wine made from old gamay grape vines grown on granite and schist soils, resulting in a grape variety with a very particular flavour.
It is an example that follows the artisan cultivation method, as indicated by the winery's philosophy, and also ensures that its vines are treated organically.
Winemaking
The production of Morgon Cuvée Corcelette wine begins with the cultivation of the fruit, where ancestral techniques are applied, which, in addition to caring for the soil, determine the natural flavour of this wine.
The grapes are harvested late and hand-picked, in order to select the best bunches of grapes. The grapes are then taken to the winery to be vinified with the whole fruit.
The fermentation of the fruit is spontaneous, as it is carried out with indigenous yeasts. It usually lasts between 2 and 3 weeks and then the wine is aged in oak barrels for a period of 6 to 8 weeks.
Taste
Morgon Cuvée Corcelette has a cloudy appearance that distinguishes it from other wines. Its flavour is dominated by red fruits and spicy notes.
On the palate it is fresh, with a balanced acidity and a spicy touch that characterises it as elegant.
A young but exuberant wine
The Morgon Cuvée Corcelette wine has a particularity, and that is that, in spite of being a young wine, its flavour defines it as a full-bodied wine with very accentuated tonalities. It is a good choice for tasting with white meats.
