Description
The champagne Amaury Beaufort De Quoi Te Mêles Tu? Brut Nature is an exceptional creation from the Champagne region of France. Its name, which roughly translates as "What are you getting yourself into?", comes from the name of the plot from which the grapes originate. This plot, located in Neuville-sur-Seine, has carried this distinctive name since Napoleonic times, and possibly even earlier.
Winemaking
This champagne is the result of a collaboration between Amaury and Loïc Naudinot. Although the grapes are grown by Loïc, the entire vinification process is carried out by Amaury. Specifically, this is a 100% organic-certified Pinot Noir grown in Kimmeridgian soils. The making of this champagne is carried out in a similar way to another of Amaury's wines, Le Jardinot. It is fermented and aged for 20 months in a combination of demi-muids and foudres. In this particular edition, 2,700 bottles were produced from the vintage.
Taste
The taste of this champagne is a clear representation of the terroir where the grapes come from. Despite being a Brut Nature, it is sharper compared to his other champagnes, which demonstrates Amaury's talent for capturing the essence of the terroir in each bottle. It is a wine that reflects the individual personalities of its villages and terroirs, and is a real gem for those looking for a unique tasting experience.
