Description
Fanny Sabre Beaune Clos des Renardes Chardonnayesis a vineyard located within the Beaune appellation, between Pommard and Beaune. Fanny Sabre acquired this parcel in 2016, covering 2.2 hectares, where Pinot Noir was predominant, although Chardonnay was also grown. Most of the vines are about 40 years old, but Fanny has planted more Chardonnay to take advantage of the terroir.
Winemaking
Fanny Sabre Beaune Clos des Renardes Chardonnay is made by direct pressing of the grapes and cold maceration in stainless steel, then fermented in used oak barrels with indigenous yeasts. It is bottled without fining or filtering, producing an organic and natural wine.
Taste
Fanny Sabre Beaune Clos des Renardes Chardonnay offers lovely aromas of honeysuckle, lemon zest, pear and butter. On the palate, vibrant citrus acidity stands out, followed by notes of apple, white peach, hazelnuts and minerals. This wine is rich, creamy and mouth-filling, with impressive concentration that extends through its lengthy finish. It is an exquisite example of Burgundy Chardonnay, balancing freshness and complexity with seamless oak integration.
