The vineyards of O Morto Wines
Its vines, being located at the confluence of the Avia and Miño rivers, have granitic soils, with some exceptions of decomposed slate. Michelini has recovered the cultivation of some old vines, and has created high yielding natural wines with little control in their production. He owns four hectares of small estates in one of the most idyllic areas for grape growing. In this project we can find a great diversity of native varieties such as the whites, Treixadura and Godello, and the reds Mencía and Brancellao. Its wines represent a nod to the Atlantic breeze of Ribeiro, the warmth of the sun, its freshness and minerality. They transmit the beautiful aesthetics of the place.
The wines of O Morto Wines
Some of their biodynamic wines are deep and mineral, such as the non-crianza white, O Morto A Via Treixadura. Others, are fruity and juicy, also light and crisp, like O Morto Via Revolucionaria Godello Puro and O Morto Via Revolucionaria Treixadura Pura, all 2018 bottlings. Their elaboration is done through spontaneous alcoholic fermentation, with indigenous yeasts, natural clarification by cold and bottling without sulfur dioxide.
