Description

The La Riva Cambre wine is made from 100% Palomino Fino Fino grapes, and is therefore classified as a single varietal wine. It owes its name to the type of grape used to make it, as it comes from one of the oldest vineyards on the Balbaina Baja estate, known as "Campbell".
It is classified as a grassy wine, with a very accentuated minerality due to the vineyard's proximity to the ocean. For this same reason, the fruit is not sunny like other examples, but the oenologists have decided to respect the freshness that the fruit provides spontaneously.

Winemaking

La Riva Cambre wine is the product of the application of different natural techniques, from harvesting to bottling, the first stage being the most important, as it ensures that the fruit is in optimum condition.
Harvesting is carried out manually, using small crates, and then fermentation takes place in 500-litre barrels without destemming and using flor-veil yeasts.
Finally, it is aged for 12 months under the veil of flor, in the same 500-litre sherry casks.

Taste

The Cambre de La Riva wine is a white wine with very particular golden tones, which denote the clean and bright aspect of the liquid. It has a fresh citrus fruit aroma and a dry but light mouthfeel. On the palate it lingers for a long time, leaving a saline and mineral taste, which denotes the proximity of the vineyard to the ocean.

A wine that denotes freshness

Freshness is the particular element in this white wine, as it provides both in taste and aroma, a lightness peculiar to the Palomino Fino grape, but very well influenced by its proximity to the sea. This wine is ideal to accompany white fish.
