Description
The wine La Riva El Armijo is a white wine classified as a pasture wine, product of the processing of palomino fino grapes, coming from the vineyard with the same name.
El Armijo is located in the Atlantic area of Sanlúcar, specifically between the vineyards of Miraflores Alta, Pastrana and El Agostado. The soils that make up these vineyards are heterogeneous with closed toscas that result in high quality fruit and, therefore, wines with structure and elegance.
Winemaking
The elaboration of El Armijo wine begins with the harvesting of the fruit, which is done by hand, as the ripening of the fruit must be at its optimum point when it arrives at the winery.
Then, the grapes are cut by hand and pressed by whole bunch, until the must is extracted for fermentation in 500-litre barrels, without applying extreme temperatures. The yeast used in this process is from the velo de flor, so that the fruit can express itself without limitations and give it a unique and peculiar flavour.
Finally, the wine is aged for 12 months, keeping the wine under the veil of flor.
Taste
The wine La Riva El Armijo has a golden colour that will impress the taster, in addition to its impregnating aroma of white fruits and citrus fruits that denote freshness and lightness. When tasted, you will notice that it is dry and with a fresh acidity, with citric tones combined with dried fruits. It has a medium length on the palate.
