Features

Description

Karnage Guy Rouk, a creation of Charles Dagand and Stéphane Planche, two wine enthusiasts who decided to embark on a project in the Jura, France. Launched in 2020, this wine is the result of carefully selected grapes from different areas of France and masterfully vinified in the Jura.

Winemaking

The choice of grapes is essential for any wine, and in this case, a unique variety has been chosen: 100% Auxerrois. These grapes come specifically from Ergershein in the Lower Rhine, a region of Alsace known for its rich winemaking tradition.
Vinification begins with whole bunch vinification, followed by direct pressing. Fermentation is rapid and takes place in stainless steel tanks, ensuring the preservation of the grapes' natural flavours and aromas. After this process, the wine is bottled, and in March, 1,500 bottles of this delicacy were launched on the market. A noteworthy detail is that no sulphites are added, which allows a more natural and authentic flavour to be enjoyed.

Taste

Karnage Guy Rouk has a slightly sweet taste, which is the result of its 22 grams of residual sugar. This sweetness, combined with the characteristics of the Auxerrois grape, offers an experience that delights the palate and evokes the winemaking traditions of Alsace and the Jura.
