Description
Muster Rosé Vom Opok comes from vineyards that are up to 40 years old. These vineyards are located on Opok soils, a combination of limestone and silty clay that gives the wine its unique characteristics. The grape varieties used in its production are Zweigelt, Blauer Wildbacher and Blaufränkisch.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand, destemmed and gently pressed. They are then fermented in wooden barrels using indigenous yeasts. After fermentation, the wine spends approximately 20 months in neutral toasted oak casks, maturing and acquiring its distinctive character. It is bottled without fining or filtering, and no sulphur is added, thus preserving its purest essence.
Taste
Muster Rosé Vom Opok is a fresh and light rosé wine, but with a personality that stands out. It has the characteristic fruit of Blaufränkisch, a spicy touch of Zweigelt and the acidity of Blauer Wildbacher, creating a combination that delights the palate. The colour is a medium pink, and on the nose, it offers intense primary aromas of cherry, strawberry and blueberry. Subtle notes of vanilla and white pepper can also be perceived, as well as an earthy touch due to the ageing in barrels over a long period. On the palate, it is a well-balanced wine, with high complexity and medium-high acidity. Its palette of flavours is as intense as its aroma, making it a complete sensory experience.
