Features

Description

Andreas Tscheppe Grüne Libelle is made from Sauvignon Blanc, one of the most appreciated and renowned white grapes in the world of wine. The vines that give rise to this wine were planted in 2006, which indicates their optimum maturity and development. The soil in which the vines grow is Opok limestone, a combination that gives the wine its unique characteristics. It is important to note that the land is owned by the winery and is farmed organically by Andreas Tscheppe himself.

Winemaking

The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully destemmed. Afterwards, they are pressed and the must obtained is transferred to neutral barrels where it ferments spontaneously. During vinification, the wine is racked three times and a small amount of sulphur is added to preserve the freshness of the wine. Ageing takes place in the same barrels for a period of 18 months. Finally, the wine is bottled without fining, without adding sulphites and without filtering, thus preserving its purest essence.

Taste

Andreas Tscheppe Grüne Libelle is a wine that surprises and captivates from the first sip. Its vivacity is palpable, transporting you to an intergalactic journey. Energising minerals combine with perfect acidity, creating a tension that reaches its peak. On the nose, herbal and floral notes are revealed, accompanied by subtle hints of citrus.
