Features

Description

Allante Boulanger Savagnin emerges as an oenological gem, the fruit of the vision and dedication of Mathieu and Christian, who rescued a historic terroir in Gizia, located at an altitude of 400-450 metres. This once prestigious, south-facing terroir was transformed from fallow land into a cultivated vineyard, adjacent to Vigne Au Daim, from which Almagamé also originates. Between 2011 and 2013, Savagnin vines were planted on a bed of grey marl and laminated shale.

Winemaking

The winemaking of Allante Boulanger Savagnin includes two years' ageing in old 228-litre barrels, giving it a vibrant depth and richness, with perfectly measured oxidation and a touch of shale-induced salinity, characteristics that make it an exceptionally versatile wine, ideal for food pairing.

Taste

Allante Boulanger Savagnin is distinguished by its Savagnin typicity, offering notes of walnut, spice, ripe lemon and baked apple. On the palate, it is rich and complex, although its relatively low acidity is striking, which could be considered the main flaw of this wine. However, this characteristic does not detract from its pairing potential, making it an excellent accompaniment to a variety of culinary preparations. The wine's label has also been praised for its attractive design, adding aesthetic value to the tasting experience.
This wine, shared among friends, encapsulates the essence of a project passionate about recovering and enhancing a terroir with history, through a wine that speaks of the land it comes from and of the meticulous attention in its production and ageing process. Allante Boulanger Savagnin is thus positioned as a remarkable exponent within the wine world, standing out for its depth, richness and versatility.
