Description
The Allante Boulanger La Chèvre wine is presented as an oenological jewel from a very special plot, lieu-dit La Chèvre. This vineyard, just 0.2 hectares in size, is home to 90-year-old vines on white and grey marl soils, located on a ridge above Rotalier. The limited production of these old vines only adds to the concentration and depth of the resulting wine.
Winemaking
The winemaking and ageing of Allante Boulanger La Chèvre focuses on bringing out the unique qualities of its terroir. The low production of the vines ensures an exceptional concentration of flavours and aromas, while the 24-month ageing in demi-muids brings focus and dynamism to this exceptional wine.
Taste
Allante Boulanger La Chèvre is truly exceptional. In the glass, it presents itself with an orangey-gold colour, a promise of its richness and complexity. The nose is a delight with aromas of honey, nuts and almonds, preparing the palate for a unique taste experience. On the palate, the wine is mouth-filling, yet this sweetness is perfectly balanced by vibrant acidity, creating an exquisite balance. Flavours of honey and burnt almonds intermingle with milky notes and a fatty texture, while the acidity provides a refreshing, watery sensation, inviting further tasting. Despite its full body, the wine maintains an elegant lightness, thanks to the acidity that plays a crucial role in its structure.
