The very pale 2021 A Senda Vermella had very little Caíño because the variety didn't ripen that year, and the blend is a little unusual, with only 10% Caíño and more Espadeiro. It's a very ethereal wine with only 9.5% alcohol. The nose is a combination of dry rose petals, balsam, pepper and herbs. It's light and subtle, very elegant and tasty. A very unusual, ethereal red, it seems like Espadeiro makes it more elegant and aerial. Unique.

Winemaking

Fermented with indigenous yeasts, whole grape harvest (100% stems) and 21 days maceration in plastic vats. Malolactic fermentation 65% in French oak barrels and 35% in stainless steel tanks. Aged on lees for 11 months. Bottled unfined and lightly filtered.
