Buy Fruity and juicy wine
Fruity and juicy red wines are young wines of an intense red color with violet and purple tones. By tasting, they are intense, rich with sweet and round tannins. They are tasty wines, sweet spirits with deep aromas of black fruit (cherry) and red fruit (raspberry), floral (violet) and Provencal herbs.
Usually they are red wines elaborated by the traditional system, not being aged in wood however some of them could be briefly aged in wood, and also by carbonic maceration. Their flavor is emphasized by an intense fruity explosion consequence of the primary aromas, the fermentation and a sweet and round texture.
Because of their characteristic fruity, juicy and fresh, these red wines are always recommended to drink young at a temperature between 14 and 16ºC (57.2 and 60.8ºF) if we want to avoid alcoholic and heavy sensations. If they are consumed at a cool temperature we will enhance the acidity in a fresh and dynamic drink. We suggest accompanying them with simply prepared food, such as seafood and meat rice, pasta with tomato sauce, sausages, pork and lamb, blue fish and soft-ripened cheese.
In Spain, some examples of fruity and juicy young wines belong to the variety Mencía in the Bierzo and Ribeira Sacra region; In Ribera del Duero and Rioja region, there is Tempranillo red wine type in continental climate; around all Catalonia, Valencia and Murcia regions, there are the Mediterranean varieties such as Syrah, Garnacha, Ull de Llebre, Sumoll and Monastrell; and in the Island of Mallorca those where the grapes Callet and Mantonegro take part.
In France, we also find examples such as the young wines of Syrah in the Northern Rhone. Besides we find Garnacha, Cariñena and Monastrell in the region of Languedoc Roussillon and finally in the Loire region with the star variety Cabernet Franc. Do not forget Merlot's unripe red wines in Bordeaux.
In Italy, we are enthusiastic about the fruity and juicy ones that are elaborated in the Southern region with the varieties Frappato and Nero d'Avola in Sicilian lands. Therefore Sicily by its purely Mediterranean climate is perfect for the elaboration of red wines with highly fruity blast. In Piedmont with the varieties Freisa, Dolcetto and Barbera are also produced excellent wines that represent well the wines of this style.
