Description
Marzagana Vita is a natural white wine produced in Tenerife by the Marzagana Elementales winery. This wine is produced following environmentally friendly winemaking techniques, without oenological additives, filtering or clarification. The vineyards, at an altitude of 400 metres, are certified organic and biodynamic. The Marzagana Vita is made from the Albillo Criollo grape variety, grown on an estate of 4 hectares of vineyards between 25 and 100 years old.
Winemaking
The winemaking process for Marzagana Vita includes a 10-day maceration with the skins and a 21-day fermentation in stainless steel tanks using indigenous yeasts. The wine is then aged for 4 months in chestnut barrels and a further 5 months in the bottle before release. This process without chemical intervention and with minimal machinery ensures that the wine maintains its authenticity and purity.
Taste
The taste of Marzagana Vita is a reflection of its careful winemaking and natural origin. On the palate, this wine presents itself with notes of ripe apple, citrus fruits such as lemon, and hints of loquat, offering a complex and rewarding tasting experience. Its bouquet may initially seem more reserved, but with a little aeration, it unfolds fully, surpassing even the expectations created by its bouquet. It is a well-developed wine, with a tannic balance that makes it ideal to accompany everyday pork dishes, providing a perfect contrast.
