Description

Tentenublo Los Corrillos Blanco is a limited edition wine, with an extremely small production of only 785 bottles. Produced by Tentenublo Wines, a personal project of Roberto Oliván, this wine is a faithful reflection of his philosophy of respect for the terroir and minimal intervention in the vineyard. The winery is located in Rioja Alavesa, in the heart of Viñaspre, where Oliván works small plots with old vines ranging from 70 to 100 years old. The vineyards grow in soils composed mainly of marl and sandstone, characterised by their structure and good drainage, ideal for the production of high quality wines.
Tentenublo Los Corrillos Blanco is mainly composed of the white Jaén grape (90%), a rare variety in La Rioja, which gives it a remarkable singularity. This grape is combined with 10% Viura, providing freshness and structure. The grapes are harvested by hand in 400 kg boxes to ensure the integrity of the grapes. After the harvest, the spontaneous fermentation process is carried out in open vats with the skins, following traditional techniques. The wine is aged for 9 months in concrete tanks, which allows for a slow evolution and a natural integration of flavours.

Taste

Tentenublo Los Corrillos Blanco has a bright golden colour, which anticipates its complexity. On the nose, the aromas are intense, with notes of stone fruit such as peach and apricot, accompanied by delicate floral notes of white flowers. This aromatic profile is complemented by a mineral touch, probably due to the soils where the vines are grown.
On the palate, the wine is dry and has a marked salinity, a characteristic that brings freshness and an enveloping sensation. Despite its medium body, it shows a firm structure and balanced acidity, which gives it great ageing potential. The finish is long, with mineral hints reminiscent of wet stone and a slight creamy sensation, the result of its ageing in concrete. The freshness and light texture of the wine make it ideal to accompany dishes such as roasted vegetables or mild fish, although it can also be enjoyed on its own to appreciate its evolution in the glass.
This wine stands out for its balance between freshness and complexity, making it an interesting option for those who are looking for a white wine with personality and character. We recommend serving it between 7 and 10 ºC, thanks to its great ageing capacity.
