Clos Kixhaya Grappes Me is a red wine that reflects the dedication and passion of Beatriz Papamija and Etienne Le Blanc. With only 4 hectares of Cabernet Franc in Chinon, this duo has shown that it is possible to create exceptional wines with limited resources, but with unrivalled passion.
Winemaking
Clos Kixhaya Grappes Me is a wine that stands out for its winemaking process. It is a sulphite-free wine that has undergone a 5-day whole cluster maceration. Despite its light appearance, Béa insists that it should not be confused with a rosé. In fact, she jokes that she scolds French cavists when they call it rosé, reaffirming that "It's not a rosé! It's a very, very clear red!" This wine expression has been eagerly awaited since Etienne presented a sample last summer. One year on, it is shaping up to be the wine of the early summer.
