Description

Antoine Jobard Meursault Les Tillets is a white wine produced in the Burgundy region of France by Domaine Antoine Jobard. This wine is composed exclusively of the Chardonnay grape variety, grown in vineyards planted between 1958 and 2002, on clay and limestone soils covering an area of 0.76 hectares.

Winemaking

Antoine Jobard Meursault Les Tillets is made by gently pressing the grapes in a pneumatic press, with virtually no racking (decanting of the must). Fermentations, both primary and malolactic, are carried out in oak barrels, only 20% of which are new, allowing the wine to acquire complexity without excessive oak influence. No batonnage (lees removal) is carried out during ageing, which lasts between 20 and 23 months in 4 to 5 year old barrels.

Taste

Antoine Jobard Meursault Les Tillets offers a complex aromatic profile, with notes of pear, crisp green apple, bread dough, wheat toast and white flowers. On the palate, it is a medium to full-bodied wine, with a satiny and concentrated texture. Its structure is supported by a backbone of tangy acidity, which gives it a vibrant freshness. The finish is saline, adding a dimension of elegance and persistence to the wine. This wine has the structure and substance to age well, promising a favourable evolution in bottle over time.
