Buy Red wine
Sweet red wines are structured, dense, opulent and tempting wines that are obtained from healthy and mature vintages with a high concentration in sugars and alcohol. These are made by the partial alcoholic fermentation and finally they are headed with the addition of wine alcohol stopping the fermentative activity. Finally the wine goes through an oxidative aging in French and American oak fudres with the aim of stabilizing the powerful tannins. Rarely, as happens with certain wines of Porto the wine goes by long vintage in bottle (reductive aging).
They have an intense red color with perfumes of liquors ripe black fruit, black olives, caramel, spices, roasted nuts, varnish, chocolate, leather and animal aromas. Tasting they are very concentrated wines, ample and fruity with sensations of sweet alcohols. They are wines of reflection to take alone, accompanied by a good Cuban tobacco, or also along with blue cheese, dark chocolate and nuts.
In this category we must not forget the wines of Porto Tawny, LBV and Vintage, and the delicious and mature French wines of Banyuls, Rasteau and Maury in the Rhone and Languedoc Rousillon. All of them wines that in their youth give off power by their tannic concentration and that they appreciate the long passage by bottle to fine-tune.
