Description
Quinta do Noval Colheita is a rare Port wine, produced in small quantities. It is a Tawny Port with a specific date. Each Colheita acquires its personality from Quinta do Noval's terroir and vintage, just like its Vintage Port, but aged in barrels until bottling.
Winemaking
The grape varieties used are Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão and Sousón, all from the Quinta do Noval vineyard. The vinification was carried out with grapes trodden by foot and fermented in the traditional presses of the Quinta, where a disciplined and intense treading is fundamental for a good final result. The Colheitas are aged in old casks called casques, with a capacity of 640 litres, until bottling. In exceptional years, certain batches of wine with great ageing potential are set aside to be aged in casks and become a Colheita, a dated Tawny Port.

Quinta do Noval Colheita captures the authentic essence of the Quinta do Noval vineyard with precision and finesse. Its rich and complex style brings together a delightful blend of spicy and liquorice notes, combined with delicious flavours of toasted almonds, dried fruits and vibrant citrus. Everything blends harmoniously together. In terms of "Colheita", this Port is still young, retaining its fruit character while beginning to reveal hints of caramel and spice.
