Thanks to its elegant minerality, this wine is often the easiest to recognize among the trio of single-vineyard Barbarescos made by the Gaja family. The 2021 Barbaresco Sorì Tildìn offers a pretty combination of red and purple berry fruits followed by dusty tones of crushed graphite and pencil shaving. Those elements reinforce the lovely freshness and vertical brightness of Nebbiolo. The Sorì Tildìn tannins are linear, fine and chalky in texture.

Description
Gaja Sorì Tildìn simply represents the essence and tradition of Italian wine. Produced in the Barbaresco region, this wine is a pure expression of Nebbiolo, a grape variety that has defined Piedmontese viticulture for centuries.
Winemaking
This wine is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes from one of the three single vineyards of Barbaresco de Gaja. After fermentation, the wine undergoes a maceration process of approximately three weeks, followed by oak ageing for 24 months, where 12 months matures in French oak barrels and another 12 months in wooden foudres.
Taste
Sorì Tildìn displays lovely aromas of essential oils, with notes of sandalwood, laurel and almond. It is complex and deep on the nose, with a lingering cedar note. Aromas of sweet fruits such as white melon, pear, coriander, sage and other aromatic herbs are prominent. On the palate, it is well-structured, combined with refreshing acidity.
