Description
Hombre Bala is a wine that masterfully represents the unique style of the Madrid vineyards. Composed of 98% Garnacha and 2% Cariñena, this red wine stands out for its elegant, aromatic and captivating profile.
Winemaking
El Hombre Bala focuses on a low-interventionist philosophy. The grapes, from the areas of Peña Cenicientos and Peña Muñana in Cadalso de los Vidrios, are grown in granitic soils at an altitude of between 800 and 850 metres. These conditions give the wine its unique characteristics. The grapes are harvested by hand, and the vinification process includes fermentations at mild, controlled temperatures with indigenous yeasts and an addition of stems. The wine is aged for 14 months in French oak vats and barrels, followed by an additional 6 months in the bottle.
Taste
Hombre Bala has a beautiful bright ruby colour with medium intensity and reddish reflections. On the nose, it is complex, with juicy red and forest fruits, a floral hint of violets, and refreshing balsamic notes with light sweet hints of vanilla, caramel and custard. On the palate, it offers an intense and very refreshing entry, with good acidity and hints of fresh grass. The tannins glide the wine across the palate, resulting in an intense and very aromatic red fruit finish.
This wine is ideal to serve at a temperature of 16 °C and pairs perfectly with grilled meats, baked suckling pig, lasagna and any kind of pasta with meat.
