Description
From the cellar of Alice and Olivier de Moor comes De Moor Bourgogne Le Vendangeur Masqué. This is a wine made from 100% Chardonnay.
Its name translates as "masked harvester", as, affected by frost and hail, the producers were forced to resort to grapes from neighbouring friends who farm in the same way.
These are chardonnay grapes grown on clay-limestone soils with the application of the renowned oenological skills of their creators.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand in small crates to preserve the integrity of the grapes during transport to the winery. The grapes are then destemmed, gently pressed and fermented spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks.
The wine is aged in barrels for twelve months. After this time, the final blend is made and the resulting wine is bottled by gravity without fining or filtering, the only point at which a touch of sulphur is added to the wine.
