Description
The Dario Prinčič Jakot wine comes from the Friuli region. This wine is made from the Tocai Friulano grape variety, coming from vines that have an average age of 60 years. The vineyard covers an area of 10 hectares, and the soil in which these grapes grow is a combination of marl and sandstone, and the viticulture practised is organic, which guarantees a quality and environmentally friendly product.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand, ensuring the selection of the best bunches. In the winery, the must starts spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in open oak vats, with 22 days of skin maceration. Subsequently, it is transferred to barrels in the wine phase where it is aged for 30 months in old oak barrels and 3 months in stainless steel tanks. No fining or filtration is carried out during vinification, and the SO2 added is minimal, allowing the wine to retain all its natural and authentic characteristics.
Taste
The impressive natural orange super wine Dario Prinčič Jakot reveals slightly oxidised aromas with nuances of nuts, dark cherries, lemon jam, ginger and a smoky touch. On the palate, it presents a medium to full body, with notes of candied fruits, ginger and forest fruits. The finish is completely dry, leaving elegant hints of fine tannins on the palate.
