Once part of the Cerasuolo di Vittoria appellation, the COS 2018 Vittoria Delle Fontane is now a representative of the relatively new Vittoria denomination. This organic blend of 60% Nero d'Avola and 40% Frappato reveals pretty tertiary definition with spice and toasted aniseed that frames a core of dried cherry and plum. If you drink this wine now, you'll catch its pretty transition from primary fruit to something a little more complicated and ethereal. There is some sourness, however, that reflects the cooler and wetter vintage conditions.
