Description
Barrat Masson La Grande Homée Brut Nature is a sublime expression of Pinot Noir in its entirety.
Winemaking
This rosé de saignée is made from exceptionally ripe Pinot Noir grapes. The bunches selected in the vineyard are destemmed and macerated for 24 hours.
The grapes are harvested by hand with a rigorous selection in the vineyard to select the ripest grapes, guaranteeing the best extraction of colour. Fermentation at 16°C takes place in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged on fine lees for 5 months and bottled by hand. The wine is aged for 18 months on the lees in the bottle for secondary fermentation and foaming. During bottling, the wine is not filtered and no sugar is added (no expedition liqueur).
Taste
Barrat Masson La Grande Homée Brut Nature has a fresh and fruity taste, with notes of raspberry, cherry and intense red fruits. It is vinous on the palate, picking up these same notes and maintaining a tension that prolongs the finish with delicious tannins. It is complemented by concentrated raspberry aromas and a salty, soft caramel finish that evolves with a little air and temperature rise.
