Description
Barrat Masson Les Margannes Brut Nature sparkling wine is a sublime and authentic expression of the Champagne region of France. This wine is made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, coming from vineyards with an average age of 40 years old, located in terroirs composed of 80% clay and limestone.
Winemaking
The vinification process divides the heart of the cuvée into a first and second pressing without adding sugar, allowing the must to settle naturally. 85% of the wine is fermented in wood, while the remaining 15% is fermented in stainless steel tanks. This champagne ages on the lees for approximately 9 months. Subsequently, the wine rests on its lees in the bottle for 40 months and is disgorged by hand without the addition of sugar (Brut Nature).
Taste
Barrat Masson Les Margannes Brut Nature is a symphony of sensations on the palate. It presents bubbles of light to medium intensity, with a slightly marked acidity that balances and refreshes. With each sip, creamy and yeasty notes can be discovered, accompanied by hints of bay leaf, grapefruit peel and mustard seed. This palette of flavours makes it an ideal accompaniment to spicy dishes, highlighting and complementing the intensity of the food.
