The 2023 Albillo Real is ripe and heady, with 15% alcohol on the label, and there's a feeling of higher ripeness, with riper fruit, yellow plums, quince paste, pollen and beeswax and notes of dry herbs and flowers. The summer had some heat waves, and the variety suffered. They started picking the grapes at four in the morning, because it was impossibly hot after 10;30 a.m. 2,400 bottles were filled in July 2023.

Cold skin soaking with whole stems, direct pressing and free-run fermented in oak barrels. Aged for 10 months in 300 and 500 litre oak barrels. Lightly filtered and sulphited.
