The 2022 Cien Lanzas is a lot more fruit-driven and has a different expression from the 2021. This is more marked by the very warm year, with ripe herbal notes but with more notes of berries and a more ample palate that is juicy and with some slightly dusty tannins. It's slightly riper too, at 14% alcohol. They produced around 6,350 bottles and 24 magnums. It was bottled in September 2023.

The wine 4 Monos Cien Lanzas, from the Denominación de Origen Vinos de Madrid, is an authentic expression of the region's viticulture. This crianza red wine is a creation of the 4 Monos winery, known for its philosophy of working in harmony with nature and its focus on biodynamics.
Winemaking
4 Monos Cien Lanzas is composed mainly of Garnacha, complemented with small additions of Cariñena and Garnacha Blanca. These varieties are grown in coarse, sandy granite soils, which gives the wine unique characteristics. The limited production of 5,200 bottles underlines its exclusivity.
The elaboration of this wine follows a meticulous process. The grapes, harvested by hand, are fermented with whole bunches of grapes and indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged for 13-14 months in used French oak barrels and foudres, which adds complexity and smoothness to the wine.

4 Monos Cien Lanzas is distinctive and balanced. It is characterised by its floral intensity, with ripe aromas that are not excessive. On the palate, it is more austere, with grainy tannins that reflect the influence of the granite soils.
