Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The white 2023 Alejandra was produced with grapes from vines intermixed in the red vineyards, mostly Albillo Mayor, with other varieties interplanted in the old vineyard. It fermented in concrete eggs and barrels and matured for 12 months in barrels of different sizes, 30% of them new. It has a pungent nose of cloves and feels intensely balsamic and medicinal with some spiciness. It has contained ripeness, 13% alcohol, a pH of 3.2 and 5.8 grams of acidity, parameters of freshness and balance. It has a beautiful texture, dry and is serious and chalky. 2,584 bottles and 60 magnums produced. It was bottled in March 2025.
