Description

Tissot Chardonnay Les Bruyères is an authentic expression of the Jura terroir, made by Bénédicte and Stéphane Tissot, renowned vignerons in the region. This wine is a single varietal Chardonnay, grown in a specific terroir combining clay and blue marls, with vines dating from between 1938 and 1973. The practice of certified biodynamics underlines the Tissot's commitment to sustainable and environmentally friendly agriculture.

Winemaking

The production of Tissot Chardonnay Les Bruyères begins with a manual harvest, followed by direct pressing. Fermentation begins spontaneously, thanks to indigenous yeasts, in Burgundy oak barrels, 20% of which are new. This natural process is complemented by ageing on the lees for 24 months, which adds complexity and texture to the wine. This meticulous winemaking process reflects the Tissot philosophy of minimal intervention, allowing the wine to show the true essence of its origin.

Taste

Tissot Chardonnay Les Bruyères stands out for its intensity and balance. On the nose, it offers subtle vegetal notes and a hint of lime, while on the palate it is powerful, fruity and concentrated. The oak maturation brings well-integrated oak notes that complement the fruit without overpowering it. The acidity is well balanced, bringing freshness and liveliness to the whole. The finish is long, marked by pleasant bitter notes that invite further tasting. This wine is undoubtedly a true reflection of its terroir and the mastery of its creators, offering a unique experience for Chardonnay lovers.
