The Garnacha 2023 Marcenca de Montsant also comes from the same vineyards at 800 meters above sea level as Guix Vermell. It's a selection to produce two wines on soils rich in gypsum, where the vines have good vigor. The vineyard is three hectares, and the more fertile part is where they get the grapes for this wine. The full clusters fermented with indigenous yeasts in concrete for a week, and the wine, which has less extraction than the rest of the range, matured in concrete for six months. It's still austere and young and needs time, as there's more depth and concentration coming from the Vèrtebra. It's still fine-boned and has a light to medium-bodied palate and very fine tannins. This has a moderate 12.5% alcohol. 1,000 bottles were filled in April 2024.
