Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2023 Terra de Cuques Blanc was produced with a blend of 70% Garnacha Blanca and 30% Pedro Ximenez with more extraction and maceration to produce a style closer to a red than a white. The whole clusters fermented in stainless steel and concrete for five days, and the wine was kept in concrete for eight months. It has a slightly deeper color and a characterful nose with notes of pollen and beeswax, aromatic herbs and some yellow fruit. It comes in at 13% alcohol with a pH of 3.45. It's clean, medium-bodied, tender and balanced, with a caressing mouthfeel and a faint bitter twist in the finish, beautifully textured, which Dominik Huber attributes to the PX. 10,600 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2024.

Description
Terroir al Límit Terra de Cuques Blanc is a rich and textured expression of Priorat. This wine comes from the slate and clay vines of La Morera del Montsant, which are between 25 and 30 years old. It is located at an altitude of between 400 and 600 metres above sea level. The blend is composed of 60% Garnacha Blanca and 40% Pedro Ximénez.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented with whole bunches for 5 days in stainless steel and cement tanks. Afterwards, the wine is aged for 6 months in cement.
Taste
Terra de Cuques Blanc presents itself with a rich, fino-like character, but as it develops on the palate, it reveals remarkable tension and freshness. Citrus layers of white currant, plum and spring flowers are prominent, offering a singular expression that defies traditional expectations of a white wine. This unique expression is testament to the combination of winemaking techniques and the unmistakable voice of the sites from which the grapes originate. It is a wine that combines tension, freshness and a depth that truly reflects the Priorat region.
