Description
The Ramírez de Ganuza winery in the Rioja D.O. produces the Remírez de Ganuza Blanco. This winery was founded in 1989 in the heart of the municipality of Samaniego (La Rioja Alavesa). The winemaker Fernando Remírez is responsible for the winemaking process and focuses on a meticulous selection of the grapes and little intervention in the winemaking process.
Winemaking
The grapes are transported to the winery after being harvested by hand, refrigerated for 24 hours and harvested.
Only the whole must is used in the winemaking process, after which it is transferred to new French oak barrels, where the Remírez de Ganuza Blanco wine ferments and rests for 8 months on its lees, with occasional bâttonages by barrel rotation.
Before release, it is bottled and left to settle for at least 24 months.
Taste
It is savory, full-bodied, balanced and well-structured in the mouth. With salty nuances, spicy aromas and small traces of creamy oak, it has a long, crisp finish.
A very refreshing wine
A wine that combines the richness and complexity of the entire aging process with a refreshing and crisp sensation that reflects the region, its clay-limestone soils and indigenous varieties.
Wait, you haven't tasted this exquisite wine yet? You're already late!
