Description
Some wines are born from an idea. Others, from a reunion. In the case of Partida Creus Vinel-lo Tinto, what lies behind it is a quiet revolution. The one started by Antonella Gerosa and Massimo Marchiori, two Italian architects who, after leaving Barcelona behind, settled in Bonastre (Baix Penedès) with a clear desire: to recover forgotten native varieties and vinify them as they were made in the past, without make-up, without haste and with a radical fidelity to the landscape. Thus was born Partida Creus Vinel.lo Tinto, a rebellious and subtle red wine, made from a blend of red grapes of ancestral varieties such as Garnacha, Ull de Llebre, Sumoll, Queixal de Llop, Samsó, Garrut and Trepat.
The calcareous-clay soils and the Mediterranean climate with a marine influence define the vibrant identity of this area of the Baix Penedès. Here the vines are cultivated organically and manually, with an almost devotional respect for biodiversity, allowing the vines to express themselves without interference. It is precisely this vision of minimal intervention that makes Partida Creus Vinel.lo a genuine wine, alive and deeply linked to its territory.
Winemaking
The production of Partida Creus Vinel-lo Tinto is based on a brief but intense maceration, in which the whole bunches - including the stems - are manually trodden with the feet, initiating a fermentation process that is as slow as it is lively. As each variety reaches its peak, the musts are pressed and are incorporated one on top of the other, feeding the process and prolonging it in a natural way. All alcoholic fermentation is carried out with indigenous yeasts, respecting the microbial identity of the vineyard as much as possible. Malolactic fermentation, also spontaneous, takes place thanks to the indigenous bacteria present in the winery. No sulphur is added at any time. Finally, the wine rests for seven months in stainless steel tanks, thus preserving its freshness and direct expression.
Taste
One sip is enough to tell you that you are in the presence of something different. Fresh, almost crunchy red fruit intertwines with wild, earthy notes, as if you were carrying the countryside in your mouth. There's acidity, but not aggressive; there's body, but without heaviness. It is juicy, light and unashamedly easy to drink, with a balsamic and mineral touch that makes it unforgettable. Partida Creus Vinel.lo Tinto is not drunk, it is shared. And when it's gone, you're already missing it.
