The more traditional of their Sumoll reds, the 2018 Collita Roja is a more rustic expression of the grape. It's a wine that needs more time and shows very different from the other two Sumoll bottlings. This wine is their history, and they want to continue with it. It's a wine that evolves very well in the bottle, and there's no rush to drink it. It starts to have some tertiary hints of brick dust and raw meat (they say blood), with abundant, slightly dusty tannins and a more Italian texture. It was selected from older vineyards and aged in barrel for six months. It has 12.2% alcohol and a pH of 3.3. 4,901 bottles and 89 magnums. It was bottled in August 2019.
