Features

Description

Ombretta Rosato Frizzante is a rosé wine with re-fermentation in bottle made by Alex della Vecchia from a blend of indigenous white(Verduzzo and Trevigiano) and red(Cabernet Franc) grape varieties from Veneto. This blend comes from vineyards located in San Donà del Piave, near the Piave river, at an altitude of 600 metres above sea level. These vineyards are rooted in a terroir of fluvial-alluvial origin, enriched by layers of clay and limestone rocks.

Winemaking

The grapes for the vinification of this wine are harvested by hand at optimum ripeness and fermented spontaneously with only indigenous yeasts. The white grape must is briefly macerated with the skins, while the red grape must is vinified in white(blanc de noirs). After this process, the wine is aged in wooden barrels for several months and finally bottled with frozen grape must for a second natural fermentation in the bottle for more than a year.

Taste

Ombretta Rosato Frizzante dazzles with an amber yellow colour with orange highlights. Its aroma is a symphony of citrus notes, white flowers and sweet spices. On the palate the bubbles are fresh and lively, with a marked mineral character, pleasant acidity and exceptional drinkability.
It is a versatile and interesting wine with fried fish, fried vegetables, pasta with seafood, various fish preparations and seasonal vegetables.
