The sweet red wine 2022 La Chispa Negra has a nose of dry hay and straw, licorice and macerated prunes, violets and some earth. It's sweet and tannic, and it feels like it needs to polish the tannins. The grapes are picked early and left to shrivel to achieve 14% alcohol and keeping 166 grams of sugar. It matured in barrel for almost two years before it was bottled. Wait for it. Only 618 half-liter bottles were filled in February 2025.
