Description

A salty breeze caresses the vines as the idea of Eulogio Pomares La Vie en Rose is born, a pioneering claret conceived by Eulogio Pomares in Galicia. The winery, faithful to its philosophy of "Great Unequal Wines", seeks to make each creation a pure expression of nature, without added artifice. The inspiration came on one of those days when the Atlantic was approaching like a whisper in the vineyard: what if a white and a red merged directly from the plot, reflecting the voice of the soil and the air? Blending Albariño and Caiño Tinto, grown together on poor granitic sandy soils in the Salnés Valley - the birthplace of Albariño, in the Rías Baixassubzone -this salmon-toned Galician rosé wine seeks to be a bridge between the subtle and the daring.

Winemaking

After a manual and conscious harvest, the grapes that give life to Eulogio Pomares La Vie en Rose are destemmed and gently pressed. The must, delicately tinted by the Caiño Tinto skins, begins its fermentation in 500 L French oak foudre, where it remains for 12 months, receiving the freshness of the ocean and the serenity of the wood. This is a limited edition -only 572 bottles-, which embodies the freedom of daring choices and the precision of technical expertise.

Taste

In the glass, Eulogio Pomares La Vie en Rose has a faint salmon colour that invites the first sip. The Albariño brings citrus sparkle and notes of lime and green grapefruit, while the Caiño Tinto gives a whisper of fresh red fruits. The panoramic oak insinuates itself as a caress, never intrusive, providing a smooth texture and elegant depth.

The entry of Eulogio Pomares La Vie en Rose is fresh, sharp as a needle of sea salt, with a vibrant acidity that defines its character. In the mid-palate subtle hints of white grapefruit and dried petals unfold, far from lush floral, rather in a dry, restrained vein. The finish is clean, slightly musky, with a sparkling persistence that leaves a marine trace on the palate.

It is a Galician wine with character, perfect both to enjoy now and to surprise later, ideal with seafood, sushi or oily fish dishes, although its nerve and delicacy also make it an excellent companion for romantic dinners.
