Description

Clos Mireille Rosé is one of those wines that demonstrate why a great Provence rosé can reach truly serious heights. It is produced at the historic Domaines Ott estate, overlooking the Mediterranean in La Londe, within the Côtes de Provence AOC. Here, the vines slope down almost to the sea on poor, well-drained soils of schist and quartz, constantly buffeted by the sea breeze and bathed in intense light. This landscape does not merely define the wine: it shapes it. The Ott family recognised the unique potential of this place very early on and committed to precise, respectful viticulture aimed at capturing the coastal character in every bottle. In this vintage, the blend combines Garnacha, Cinsault and Rolle, a combination that brings juiciness, floral delicacy and mineral tension.

Winemaking

The winemaking process for Clos Mireille Rosé aims to preserve purity, freshness and elegance. The harvest is carried out with particular attention to the balance of the fruit, which is essential in a Mediterranean setting so exposed to the sun and wind. Once the grapes arrive at the winery, the winemaking process focuses on protecting the clearest aromatic expression of the must and preserving the identity of the terroir. The result is a French rosé with a refined profile, where ripe fruit never overpowers the sensation of freshness. The final blend is adjusted according to the character of the vintage to maintain the house style: precision, harmony and a distinct maritime character.

Taste

In the glass, Clos Mireille Rosé displays a pale pink colour with salmon-pink highlights, very pure and luminous. The nose opens with fresh apricot, delicate flowers, subtle citrus and white nectarine, all enveloped in an airy, briny sensation. On the palate, it is juicy, silky and vibrant, with a polished texture reminiscent of the great tradition of Provençal rosé. White and stone fruits blend with notes of lemon zest and a subtle, almost marine minerality. The finish is long, clean and refreshing, with hints of candied lemon, subtle salinity and a serene elegance that makes this premium rosé a magnificent accompaniment to Mediterranean cuisine.
