Features

Description

Dehours La Côte Réserve Perpétuelle Extra Brut is a unique expression of viticulture and oenology. This wine comes from a specific plot, La Côte en Bosses, located in Mareuil-le-Port. The vineyard is planted with a blend of three varieties: Chardonnay, Meunier and Pinot Noir. This combination of varieties is an integral part of the identity of the plot, offering a pure representation of the terroir.

Winemaking

Vinification is carried out in 200, 300 and 500 litre barrels, using indigenous yeasts and an ageing process on lees. This method contributes significantly to the complexity and character of the wine. Production is limited, with only 2466 75cl bottles produced, and each bottle carries detailed information on bottling and disgorging dates. The wine is not dosed, which means that no extra sugar is added during the winemaking process, and is classified as Extra Brut.

Taste

Dehours La Côte Réserve Perpétuelle Extra Brut is a wine that stands out for its seriousness and complexity, somewhat reminiscent of the style of Benoît Lahaye's Brut Nature. Its brut and slightly oxidative character is revealed both on the nose and on the palate.
On the nose, this wine presents notes of yeast and an oxidative touch, creating an intriguing and profound first impression. On tasting, it strikes a perfect balance between complexity and harmony. Fine bubbles and just the right amount of acidity intertwine to fill the palate, offering a rich, lingering taste experience. Hints of yeast, an oxidative character and possibly green apple come together in a symphony of well-integrated flavours.
This wine is an example of how the unification of flavours can reach a level of excellence, offering a tasting experience that is both complex and satisfyingly balanced. Its taste profile makes it an outstanding choice for those who appreciate wines with character and depth.
