Description
Cinque Campi Fuorleggero is an authentic expression of Italian terroir, made from Lambrusco Grasparossa. This variety, grown in vineyards 30 years old, benefits from a silty clay soil that contributes to its distinctive character. The total production of this wine is limited, with only 1,700 bottles produced, making it an oenological jewel coveted by wine lovers.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand and placed in small boxes to be pressed directly, giving rise to a pink-coloured must. Spontaneous fermentation takes place in cement tanks and the wine rests for 6 months. Subsequently, it is transferred to the bottle with an addition of refrigerated must from the same harvest to finish its fermentation in the bottle, resulting in a sparkling rosé. No fining or filtering is carried out and no sulphur is added at any time (total sulphates <13 ppm). Finally, the wine is disgorged without any dosage.
Taste
Cinque Campi Fuorleggero is a true delight for the senses. Its personality is as seductive as the artwork on its label, the work of Vanni's friend and artist Susan Dutton. To the eye, it delights with a light strawberry colour with orange highlights. On the nose, it awakens aromas of raspberries, while on the palate, cherries take centre stage. It is a wine that can be described as a fruity candy for all the senses.
